Concept
Parcel & Plate is a restaurant and food delivery service designed to make fresh, nutritious meals accessible to all. A key differentiator of our brand is the integration of EBT payments, both in-restaurant and for delivery, ensuring that high-quality dining experiences are available to a broader audience. Our concept was born from a shared passion for addressing food insecurity on both a global and local scale, combined with an interest in restaurant branding and spatial design. These core values informed every aspect of Parcel & Plate’s identity. Check out Anabel and Lilly’s design portfolio by clicking their name!
Design & User Experience
The menu is designed with affordability and inclusivity in mind, featuring diverse, globally inspired meals that maintain a refined dining aesthetic. To enhance user accessibility, clear visual hierarchy and concise typography guide EBT users through transaction details at the bottom of the menu, explaining product limitations and how specific menu items align with EBT standards.
The food delivery service extends the brand’s mission by catering to individuals—particularly middle-aged and elderly customers—who may face mobility or scheduling barriers. A print-based ordering system was intentionally developed using mail-in menus, prioritizing ease of use for non-tech-savvy individuals while also streamlining the ordering process for busy adults. This tactile interaction with the brand fosters an inclusive, low-friction experience.
Brand Identity & Packaging
Parcel & Plate’s visual identity extends beyond digital and print materials into packaging and in-store elements. The kids’ menu and packaging were designed with vibrant, engaging visuals to create an enjoyable dining experience, reflecting the insight that children represent the third-largest demographic of EBT users. Packaging distinctions were made between in-restaurant leftovers—utilizing minimal, space-efficient containers—and delivery packaging, which was designed for durability and practicality.
Promotional materials include carefully designed pamphlets that effectively communicate the restaurant’s mission and service options, along with branded stickers for packaging and outreach efforts. These design elements maintain a cohesive visual identity, reinforcing brand recognition across all customer touchpoints.
Spatial & Environmental Design
A Photoshop-rendered interior mockup showcases the intended restaurant ambiance—balancing warmth and sophistication. The space incorporates branded elements in subtle yet impactful ways, using a combination of AI-assisted rendering and manual design refinements to achieve a polished, immersive concept. The interior is curated to evoke comfort while maintaining an elevated dining atmosphere, ensuring that Parcel & Plate’s mission is reflected in both its physical and visual presence.
